The Gin Game

Written by K.L. Cobern.  Directed by Adrian Truss.

Starring Bruce Hunter and Erica Wood

The Gin Game was first produced in September of 1976 by American Theatre Arts in a 56-seat theater at the corner of Hollywood Boulevard and Argyle in Los Angeles.

The Artistic Director of the theater was Don Eitner and the first director of the play was Kip Niven.

A favorable review in Variety brought the play to the attention of The Actors Theatre of Louisville where the play became one of the first offerings in its now-famous festival of new plays.

It was here that Jon Jory brought the play to the attention of Hume Cronyn and Jessica Tandy, who then sent it to Mike Nichols. Remarkably, Mr. Nichols signed on to direct within 24 hours, and the production destined for Broadway was formed.

Our First Fringe Show

Bad Baby Presents:  Rules Control the Fun

Solo Show starring Janelle Hanna

Rules Control the Fun is a hilarious play about love, vulnerability, and shame. Self-proclaimed Fringe expert Bad Baby wanted to become an actor so that she could sleep in and kiss boys. But lately, she hasn’t gotten to do either of those things. Now, all of that is about to change. Showcasing exceptional acting skills, unmatched good looks, a huge range of emotional faces, a balloon arch, and a surprise you can’t miss, see why the Torontoist declared “nothing compares to Bad Baby!”

Janelle Hanna brings Bad Baby to life in a performance that Mooney on Theatre called “Emotionally moving...flawless.”

Hailed as “A true Fringe gem!” The Show is part of the line up at the Edmonton International Fringe Festival this summer.   Come see it in Beaumont for one night only, August 23, 2019

Advance tickets are available to purchase online at Eventbrite tickets.  At-the-door tickets will be sold at the venue starting one hour prior to showtime for cash sales only. 13$

This show contains mature themes and brief partial nudity.

Jannis Sanford

Fine Artist, Canada

Jannis Sanford is a Nova Scotian artist who studied Fine Arts at Mount Allison University, New Brunswick. Her artwork allows her the fluidity to move between photo realism and abstract paintings. Her work is deeply influenced by Mark Hamilton, Corinne Redden, and Melanie Morrissey, members of the Eastern Art Collective. Jannis is a professional recreation and volunteer coordinator in long term care. This environment lends to Jannis’ inspiration for her artwork, requiring her to be present with people in difficult circumstances.
