Artistic Director, Jennifer Townsend

Driven by an artistic passion deeply rooted in her being, Jenn has been pursuing theatre for over a decade. Placing equal importance on every facet of theatre has made her well versed in many aspects of the stage. Be it directing and devised creation, stage performance, dramaturgy, or stage management, Jenn is at home when involved in any production. She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Concordia University in Montreal, and has worked for theatre companies Geordie Theatre (Montreal, QC) and Theatre; Just Because (Fort McMurray, AB). Jenn continues to work as an educator of young artists and workshop leader of all ages. She is also currently the Artistic Director of Mask Mime & Mayhem Productions. Her favourite moments of theatre are those magical, imaginative instances that surprise the audience while uplifting the soul. Some of those productions include 'The Most Massive Woman Wins', 'Fanny & Manny Tie the Knot' (Theatre; Just Because), 'The Vagina Monologues', 'Steel Magnolias' (Keyano Theatre Company), 'Apathy' (Concordia University), and 'I, Claudia' (Mask Mime & Mayhem). On the off chance you find her doing something unrelated to the theatre, she would probably be hanging out with her very judgemental cat.
